Volumes have been said on this subject, and the debates and feuds about where the "hot" one armed bandits are placed in the casino are still ongoing - over sixty years after slot games were first placed in the casinos.

The quintessential rule is that the superior slots were installed just inside the entry of the casino; so that individuals walking by would see real jackpot winners ... be inspired to come inside and play. Our determination is that this is definitely no longer true.

Nearly all of the mega casinos these days are gigantic complexes and you can no longer see inside from the sidewalk, so there is no longer a reason to place the 'loose' slot machine games close-by any of the doors.

And the last thing a casino wants is for someone to win a jackpot by playing only a few coins and then not stay to put it all back in!
